The IBM 80P5355 is a 1.5GHz 2-way POWER5 processor card/DCM with 36MB of L3 cache, part of a board family our own trade documentation refers to internally by the codename Annika, built for the IBM RS/6000 p5-550 and IBM eServer p5/OpenPower 550 systems. It plugs into the system’s 28EC backplane (see the IBM 80P5530, 80P6700 and 80P6381 backplanes elsewhere in our range) and carries the system’s processor complex on a single dual chip module.

The p550 family remains in service in a number of established Unix/AIX and OpenPower Linux environments, and a matched processor card is the standard field replaceable unit for restoring a failed processor complex or upgrading an existing system.
