This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit tech-star.co.uk or submit an enquiry, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

3. The data we collect

Enquiry and contact data. When you submit a price enquiry or contact form, we collect the details you provide, typically your name, email address, telephone number, company name, the product or part you are enquiring about, and the content of your message.

Technical and usage data. When you browse the site we (and our service providers) automatically collect information such as your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and the dates and times of your visits.

Cookies and analytics data. See section 6 below.

We sell refurbished and new equipment on a quote basis and do not take payments through this website, so we do not collect payment card details here.

5. Marketing

  • Our website hosting provider.

We keep enquiry and contact data only for as long as necessary to deal with your enquiry and for our legitimate business and legal record-keeping purposes, after which it is securely deleted. Analytics data is retained in line with our Google Analytics retention settings.
