Marconi/Nokia T30432.02 is the second recorded build of this base number in our stock, and like the first it arrived with no description attached. We have not found the T30432 group in any published Nokia listing. The practical route to a match is a picture of the front panel legend or the board label on the unit you are replacing, which we can compare directly against the item we hold.

Synfonet was Nokia’s SDH transport range, sold on to Marconi in 1999 together with the Cambridge development team behind it. A node is assembled slot by slot from a subrack of plug-in units: STM-1, STM-4 and STM-16 optical interfaces, 2 Mbit/s and 34/45 Mbit/s electrical tributary units, a control and timing unit, service and management interfaces, power supply assemblies and shelf mechanics. It behaves as both an add and drop multiplexer and a small cross connect, which is why it stayed in service on utility, transport and private network rings long after the public network moved on.
