The Aruba AP-65 is a genuine dual-radio, dual-band concurrent 802.11a plus b/g wireless access point, designed as a discreet, self-contained unit for indoor enterprise and retail deployment. Alongside standard WLAN access, the AP-65 supports wireless intrusion detection and secure enterprise mesh networking, and can operate as an RF monitor either independently or concurrently with normal access-point service across both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz spectrums. Its low-profile design includes dual internal antennas, Power over Ethernet support, a rear-mounted Ethernet interface and an integrated ceiling-tile rail mounting point, making it well suited to open-plan offices and retail spaces where a visible external AP is undesirable. As with other Aruba access points of this generation, the AP-65 is centrally managed from an Aruba mobility controller, giving administrators unified control over WLAN services, security policy and RF monitoring across the estate. Aruba has announced end-of-sale for the AP-65, with the AP-105 positioned as its direct functional replacement, so this unit is primarily relevant for maintaining or expanding an existing AP-65 deployment.
