The Ericsson BFJ90103 is a Media Gateway Unit for the Ericsson MX-ONE enterprise telephony platform, supplied as a 19-inch, 1U rack-mounted unit. The media gateway bridges the IP and traditional circuit-switched (TDM) sides of the system, converting voice and signalling between the MX-ONE IP core and PSTN or legacy trunk and extension connections. It is deployed within MX-ONE business communication systems, providing the gateway between packet telephony and conventional telephone lines for enterprise PBX environments. The BFJ90103 is a legacy component from the Ericsson and Aastra MX-ONE range, later under Mitel, and is used up to MX-ONE version 4.1. Many MX-ONE systems remain in active service, so media gateway units are required for maintenance and expansion of existing deployments. Available from Tech Star as new or refurbished stock.
