Huawei 02312BSJ DBS3900 Radio Unit / RRU

The Huawei 02312BSJ is an RRU5502 dual-band Remote Radio Unit for the DBS3900 and DBS5900 distributed base station platforms. It operates simultaneously across Band 3 (1800MHz) and Band 1 (2100MHz), delivering 4T4R MIMO on each band with 4x80W independent output power, providing a total of 640W across both bands without power sharing between them.

The RRU5502 supports multi-standard operation across GSM, UMTS, LTE FDD, and 5G NR concurrently via Software Defined Radio, making it well suited to operators running multi-generation network overlays on a single piece of hardware. Two CPRI ports support fronthaul connectivity to compatible Huawei BBU units at up to 9.8Gbit/s, with star, chain or dual-star topology options.

By consolidating two high-power bands into a single outdoor unit, the 02312BSJ reduces tower space, wind load and installation complexity compared to deploying separate single-band radios, a significant operational advantage for dense urban sites and co-location scenarios.
