The Nokia C110629 is a PCU2-E, a second-generation Packet Control Unit used in Nokia’s ATCA-based mobile core and packet infrastructure. The Packet Control Unit handles the GPRS/EDGE packet control functions of the network, managing the packet data flows between the radio side and the packet core.

In its ATCA blade form the PCU2-E provides high-capacity packet processing within a carrier-grade shelf shared with Nokia’s Media Gateway (MGW) and Mobile Switching Server (MSS) equipment. Built to the AdvancedTCA standard, the blade supports hot-swap serviceability and redundancy for continuous operation. As a legacy packet-control blade it remains in service across many operator networks. Supplied as a refurbished unit with warranty, the C110629 is a cost-effective spare for maintaining installed Nokia core packet control systems.
