The Huawei WD22WMPT is a WMPT (WCDMA Main Processing and Transmission) unit, the main control board for Huawei BBU3900 base band unit in WCDMA/UMTS configurations. It performs configuration and device management, performance monitoring and signalling processing for the base station, manages the resources of the other boards in the BBU, and provides the main transmission, USB and maintenance ports used for backhaul, software upgrade and local maintenance. Sitting in the BBU main control slot, the WMPT is the central processing and transmission board around which the baseband (WBBP) and RF boards operate. It is one of the most commonly replaced boards on 3G NodeB sites built on the DBS3900/BBU3900 platform. Supplied refurbished, the WD22WMPT is a direct-fit spare for maintaining or expanding installed Huawei WCDMA base stations.
