3Com 3C17304 SuperStack 3 Switch 4228G Datacentre Switch

The 3Com 3C17304 is a SuperStack 3 Switch 4228G, a 24-port managed Fast Ethernet switch with two integrated 10/100/1000Base-T Gigabit ports and two GBIC slots for fibre uplinks. The 24 Fast Ethernet ports handle standard desktop and workgroup connections, while the Gigabit copper ports and GBIC slots give the switch a fast, flexible path back to the network core, whether that’s over copper or fibre depending on the site’s cabling.

As part of the SuperStack 3 range, the 4228G was one of 3Com’s mainstream managed access switches for wiring-closet deployments, offering VLAN support, QoS and standard management protocols without the cost or complexity of a full modular chassis switch.
