The HP J9358A is a ProCurve MSM422 Wireless Access Point, a dual-radio 802.11a/b/g/n access point capable of operating in either autonomous mode or as a controller-managed unit alongside an HP MSM wireless controller. It delivers wireless data rates of up to 300Mbps across its integrated antennas.

The access point connects to the wired network over a single Gigabit Ethernet port with Power over Ethernet support, simplifying installation in ceiling or wall-mounted locations where running separate power is impractical. This unit is supplied without an AC power adapter, for PoE-powered installations.
