The 3Com Switch 4500 PWR 26-Port (3CR17571-91) adds IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet to 24 of its 26 ports, alongside two dual-personality Gigabit ports, drawing up to 300W to power IP phones, access points and cameras directly.

The switch runs rich Layer 2 switching with dynamic Layer 3 routing, an 8,000-entry MAC address table, flow control, auto-negotiation, IGMP snooping, traffic shaping, packet filtering and port mirroring, plus SSHv2 and SNMPv3 for secure remote management, and stacks up to eight units via Gigabit stacking ports.
