The Ericsson ROJ20443/2 is an RPG3 board, part of the Regional Processor family of cards used within Ericsson’s AXE-10/AXE810 digital switching platform. Regional Processor boards such as the RPG3, along with related variants including the RPP, RPG2 and RP4-H, handle regional control and processing tasks within an AXE exchange, working alongside the exchange’s central processor to manage switching and signalling functions for a defined part of the system. The RPG3 fits into a standard AXE magazine and communicates with the rest of the exchange over the internal backplane.
