The Ericsson ROF131698/1 is a POU (Power Unit) card for the Ericsson AXE-10 digital telephone exchange, the POU5V12V12V variant. Like other POU cards in the same family, including the closely related ROF131667 and ROF1377017 series, it is a DC/DC power conversion board that plugs into the AXE-10 GEM subrack and regulates the exchange’s -48V DC supply down to the +5V and dual +12V rails used by adjacent line, trunk and logic cards in the same magazine. POU boards are among the most commonly replaced field spares in older AXE-10 installations, since they carry the full load current for their subrack section.
