The Huawei CN21ETIA0 (ETIA0) is an E1/T1 interface unit (also documented as the GTSOFTX3000 ETI board and used as a rear board on MSOFTX3000 and USN9810 chassis), providing two groups of 16 E1/T1 ports for TDM connectivity. The board processes narrowband services and TDM services and signalling, and provides a clock reference for the shelf, with one ETIA0 typically configured as the LINE1 clock source and a second as the LINE2 clock source for redundancy. It supports GEA1, GEA2 and GEA3 encryption functions for the traffic it carries, and is hot-swappable via ejector levers on the front panel.
