The Huawei WD5M21383200 is an RRU3832 remote radio unit for the 2100 MHz band (Band 1), carrying UMTS traffic in Huawei’s DBS3900 distributed base station. It receives on 1920 to 1980 MHz and transmits on 2110 to 2170 MHz.

The RRU3832 has a 2T4R layout, two transmit and four receive paths, with a maximum output of 2 x 60 W. In UMTS it handles up to four carriers with MIMO, or six without. Two CPRI optical ports link it to the baseband unit at up to 4.9 Gbit/s in star, chain and ring topologies, at up to 40 km from the BBU. It runs from -48 V DC and supports tower-mounted amplifiers and AISG remote electrical tilt antennas.

The unit is IP65 rated, measures 400 x 300 x 100 mm and weighs 15 kg, so it can be installed outdoors close to the antennas to cut feeder loss.
