The Alcatel 3CC08898AAAB is an Indoor Unit (IDU) for the Alcatel 9400 UX digital microwave radio system, a short-haul low/medium capacity point-to-point microwave transmission platform covering the 7, 8, 13, 15, 18, 23, 25 and 38 GHz frequency bands. The 9400 UX is a complete homogeneous microwave radio family supporting traffic capacities from 2×2 up to 16×2/34 Mbit/s, using 16QAM or 4QAM modulation with forward error correction and adaptive equalisation for reliable transmission over microwave links. The IDU acts as the system’s main indoor control unit, handling connection to local supervision systems (including a supervision PC for configuration and monitoring), storing operating system versions in onboard memory, and processing external commands for telesignalling and remote control of the associated outdoor unit (ODU). This EX variant IDU is part of the 9400 UX family’s compact indoor/outdoor unit split architecture, which also supports integration into GSM, UMTS and LMDS base station sites with an integrated antenna and single-coax interconnection to the ODU.
