The Juniper PF-12XGE-SFPP-B is a Type 5 Physical Interface Card (PIC) with 12 ports of 10-Gigabit Ethernet, SFP+ for the Juniper T4000 core router. It needs SFP+ optics, sold separately, and installs into a T4000-FPC5 Flexible PIC Concentrator. The -B suffix is the hardware revision. It provides the physical network interface and hands traffic to the router’s packet-forwarding engine. It can be installed in either of the two Type 5 slots on the T4000-FPC5. It is a field-replaceable unit, supplied as a spare or to add capacity to an existing deployment.
