The Juniper PB-AS2-B is an Adaptive Services II (AS2) Physical Interface Card (PIC) for the Juniper M5, M7i, M10, M10i, M20, M40e, M160 and M320. It provides Layer 2 and Layer 3 service packages (NAT, stateful firewall, tunnelling and CoS) on a single card, one package active at a time. The -B suffix is the hardware revision. It provides the physical network interface and hands traffic to the router’s packet-forwarding engine. It is a field-replaceable unit, supplied as a spare or to add capacity to an existing deployment.
