The Nortel NTQA57AA is a power supply unit for the Nortel S8000 GSM base transceiver station: the cabinet’s Type F PSU, and part of the same NTQA-prefixed family as the platform’s other power and rectifier modules. It converts the cabinet’s DC power bus to the regulated rails the S8000’s RF, baseband and control shelves need, working alongside sibling PSU modules to provide N+1 redundancy across the cabinet.

S8000 is Nortel’s macrocellular GSM base station platform, supporting site configurations from a single TRX up to eight TRXs per cell. Installations remain in service across a number of established GSM networks, and genuine spares such as this one are a routine requirement for maintaining full power redundancy or restoring capacity after a supply failure.
