Nortel NTCA70XL (telecommunications transmission and networking portfolio) Telecom System Card / Module

The Nortel NTCA70XL is recorded as a 2.5G WT circuit pack. WT reads as wavelength translator, the Optical Metro function that takes a client signal and re-transmits it on an assigned DWDM wavelength, and 2.5 Gbit/s gives the line rate the pack is built for. We have taken that description straight from the supplier record rather than inferring a specification around it, so the host system is worth confirming before you order.

Nortel’s Optical Metro 5100 and 5200, originally sold as OPTera Metro, are DWDM transport systems for metro fibre networks. The 5100 has four traffic slots and the 5200 has sixteen, filled with circuit packs such as the optical channel interface, the optical channel laser and detector, transponders, and the shelf processor and optical service channel cards that manage them.
