Alcatel-Lucent 300698289 transmission and switching equipment Network Security Appliance

The Alcatel-Lucent 300698289 is a VPN Firewall Brick model 150, a compact firewall and VPN appliance from the Lucent VPN Firewall Brick range. Equipment of this generation is identified by the number on the label rather than by appearance, since units that look alike can differ in the detail that matters. Spares for equipment of this age are sourced from refurbished stock rather than from the manufacturer, which is why the part number and its markings carry the whole identification. A revision marking on a unit like this is part of its identity, not a production code: builds are qualified separately and are not freely interchangeable. Confirm the part number and any revision marking on the unit being replaced before ordering. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) supplies Alcatel-Lucent components for ongoing maintenance projects.
