The Alcatel 3AL81502AA is a PSF (Power Supply Filter) module for the Alcatel-Lucent 1678 MCC (Metro Core Connect) optical transport platform. The module conditions and filters the -48/-60 VDC feed entering the shelf, suppressing electrical noise and transients so the line, cross-connect and control cards receive clean, stable power. It sits in the chassis power path of the 1678 MCC and forms part of the platform’s power-distribution complement alongside its power and fan units. The 1678 MCC is a high-density SDH/SONET, OTN and MPLS transport system for metro and core networks, part of Alcatel-Lucent’s optical portfolio now under Nokia.
