The Alcatel 3HE05950AA is a Switch Fabric Module (SFM4-12) designed for the Alcatel-Lucent 7450 Ethernet Service Switch (ESS) platform. This module provides the internal switching fabric that enables high-speed data forwarding between line cards and system components within the 7450 ESS chassis.

The SFM4-12 is deployed in carrier-grade Ethernet aggregation and service delivery networks.
