The Aruba AP-70 is a genuine dual-radio, dual-band wireless access point supporting concurrent 802.11a and 802.11b/g operation, designed for secure mobility services across enterprise, campus, branch office and retail deployments, including use as a Remote AP over public or private networks. It is fitted with dual 10/100 Ethernet interfaces and supports redundant 802.3af Power over Ethernet sourcing, along with a USB 2.0 interface for service extension. The unit uses onboard dual, integral, high-performance omnidirectional multi-band antennas, while also supporting external antennas through quad detachable antenna interfaces for sites needing extended or directional coverage. As with all Aruba access points of this generation, the AP-70 is centrally managed from an Aruba mobility controller, giving network administrators extensive control over WLAN services, security policy and deployment models across the whole estate rather than configuring each AP independently. Aruba has since announced end-of-sale for the AP-70, recommending the AP-105, AP-124 or AP-125 as functional replacements, so this unit is now most relevant for maintaining or expanding an existing AP-70 deployment rather than new-build projects.
