The Ciena B-720-0015-001 is the CN-Alarm-STD standard alarm board for the CN 4200 platform, providing the shelf’s external alarm contact interface to site or building alarm systems.

The alarm board brings critical, major and minor alarm relay outputs out from the shelf so that a fault on a CN 4200 node, whether a card failure, loss of signal or environmental alarm, can be picked up by site monitoring even without a direct connection to the network management system.
