The Delta DPS-670AB is a 670W hot-swap switch mode power supply module built by Delta Electronics as an original equipment supply for the Dell PowerEdge 1950 server. The 1950 is a 1U two-socket rack server that takes two of these modules side by side for redundancy, so a failed supply can be changed with the server running and the second module carrying the full load in the meantime. The module is keyed to the PowerEdge 1950 bay and backplane connector and is not interchangeable with supplies from other server families of the same wattage. Running a redundant chassis on a single working supply removes the redundancy the design was bought for, which is why a failed module is normally replaced rather than left out.
