The Emerson HD48100-5 is a telecom rectifier power module from Emerson Network Power’s HD series, converting AC mains input, rated 304-456VAC, into a regulated, continuously adjustable 42-58VDC output at up to 100A, for powering telecom equipment racks and charging standby battery plant. The module uses full-bridge DC/DC conversion with zero-voltage switching (ZVS) technology, delivering up to 93% efficiency and a compact power density of 7.88W per cubic inch, and includes forced-air cooling with dust-proof fan control, phase-loss tolerance with automatic 50% current limiting, adjustable current-limiting control between 10-110% of rated output, and short-circuit retraction protection. Rectifier modules of this type are installed in redundant, hot-swappable arrays within a telecom power shelf so individual units can be serviced without interrupting the site’s DC power bus.
