DBC420 02/01001 Ericsson Dialog 4000 Series Digital Telephone

The Ericsson DBC420 02/01001, also known as the Dialog 4420, is a digital desk telephone designed for use with Ericsson BusinessPhone and MD110 PBX systems. This handset provides a full-featured communication endpoint with a multi-line display, programmable function keys, and integrated handsfree capability.

The Dialog 4420 was developed as part of Ericsson’s Dialog 4000 series, serving as a mid-range digital terminal for enterprise telephony deployments. It connects via proprietary digital signalling to Ericsson PBX platforms, offering users access to system features including call transfer, conferencing, and message waiting indication.

This is a legacy product from Ericsson’s enterprise telephony portfolio, which was subsequently acquired by Aastra and later Mitel. Despite being discontinued, the Dialog 4420 remains in active service across many existing BusinessPhone and MD110 installations where replacement handsets are required to maintain operational continuity.
