The Ericsson ROF1377891/3 is an REU ring-generator card for the MD110 PBX system, a DC/AC converter producing the ringing voltage supplied to connected telephones, normally fitted one per Line Interface Module (LIM). MD110 was Ericsson’s flagship enterprise PBX platform before Ericsson sold its enterprise communications business to Aastra Technologies in 2008; Aastra carried the platform forward and later developed it into the MX-ONE system, so this generation of hardware still supports installations that have not yet migrated.
