The Ericsson ROJ1192522/10 is a PNM 1002 (Processor Node Module) designed for use within Ericsson’s AXE family of digital telephone exchanges. This module serves as a critical processing component within the distributed architecture of AXE systems, handling call processing, signalling, and system management functions.

The PNM 1002 is deployed within the APZ processor subsystem of AXE exchanges, which have been widely used by telecommunications operators worldwide for fixed-line, mobile switching, and transit applications. These systems form the backbone of many legacy PSTN and early mobile network infrastructures.

As a legacy product from Ericsson’s traditional switching portfolio, the AXE platform and its associated hardware including the PNM series are now largely superseded by packet-based and IP-native solutions.
