The Ericsson YKVRAU17/31 is a RAU1 (Radio Unit) covering the 7GHz frequency band, sub-band 31, used within Ericsson’s MINI-LINK point-to-point microwave transmission system. The RAU connects at the waveguide interface directly to the antenna, converting the modulated IF/baseband signal from the indoor MMU modem unit into an RF carrier for transmission across a microwave hop, and performing the reverse function on receive.

RAU units are supplied and installed in matched pairs, one per end of a link, each covering a specific sub-band of the wider frequency band with a fixed duplex spacing to avoid interference between the transmit and receive paths.
