The HP J9137A is a ProCurve 2520-8-PoE, a compact 8-port Fast Ethernet switch with Power over Ethernet support for small deployments. It combines eight 10/100Base-TX PoE ports with two SFP mini-GBIC uplink slots, running on a 266 MHz Freescale processor with 32 MB flash and 128 MB DDR2 SDRAM.

PoE support allows the switch to power IP phones, wireless access points and other PoE-capable devices directly over the network cable, simplifying cabling in small offices and branch deployments. It supports up to 8,000 MAC address entries and standard IEEE features including 802.1Q VLANs, 802.3ad LACP link aggregation and 802.1x port authentication.
