HP JC065B A12500 48-port Gig-T LEC Module for HP 12500 series switches.

The HP JC065B is a 48-port Gigabit Ethernet copper (Gig-T) Line Card for the HP A12500 series modular switches. This LEC (Line Card) module provides high-density 10/100/1000BASE-T connectivity using standard RJ-45 interfaces, enabling flexible network expansion for enterprise and data centre environments.

Designed for deployment within the HP A12500 switch chassis, this module integrates seamlessly with the platform’s distributed switching architecture. The 12500 series was positioned as HP’s flagship modular core and aggregation switch family, offering carrier-grade reliability and high-performance forwarding for demanding network infrastructures.

The HP A12500 platform and its associated modules, including the JC065B, represent legacy HP networking hardware that predates the HPE Aruba transition. Whilst no longer current production, these modules remain relevant for maintaining and expanding existing A12500 deployments where organisations wish to extend the operational life of their infrastructure.
