Huawei 020BYT OptiX RTN620 Microwave Radio

The Huawei 020BYT is an SCC (System Control and Communication) board, confirmed by telecom equipment resellers as the SL61SCC used within Huawei’s OptiX RTN620 IP microwave transmission platform. The SCC provides the main system control and communication function for the RTN620 IDU chassis, coordinating the IF, tributary and Ethernet boards fitted in the same subrack and handling the node’s management and communication channels back to the network management system. The RTN620 is a compact IP microwave transport node within Huawei’s RTN 600 series, combining cross-polarization interference cancellation (XPIC) with CCDP technology to raise transmission capacity, and remains deployed across many operator backhaul networks. Genuine SCC boards are recovered from decommissioned or upgraded RTN620 nodes and tested before resale, since new manufacture of this legacy board has ceased.
