The Huawei 2316393 is an MRFU-1800 (Multi-mode Radio Frequency Unit), part of Huawei’s MRFU family of modular RF transceivers built for the BTS3900 base station platform and configured here for the 1800MHz band (uplink 1710-1770MHz, downlink 1805-1865MHz). The MRFU is a Software Defined Radio (SDR) module able to modulate, demodulate, combine and divide baseband and RF signals, and can be reconfigured in software to serve GSM, LTE FDD, or dual GU/GL mode traffic on the same physical unit, giving operators flexibility as they migrate 2G sites toward 4G capacity. Unlike single-purpose RF units, the MRFU’s software-defined design lets one module cover multiple standards through configuration rather than hardware change. BTS3900 base stations using the 1800MHz band remain widely deployed across GSM and LTE networks, and genuine MRFU-1800 units are recovered from decommissioned or upgraded sites and tested before resale.
