The Huawei LE02CMUA is a Centralized Monitoring Unit board used in the Huawei S9300 series Quidway/CloudEngine-generation Ethernet switches. It provides centralised, highly reliable device monitoring, management and energy-saving functions for the chassis, continuously tracking board presence, environmental status and power consumption across the subrack and reporting this information back through the switch’s management plane. In common S9300 configurations a chassis can be fitted with a redundant pair of CMUA boards operating in 1:1 hot-standby mode, so that the loss of a single monitoring board does not remove system-wide visibility of device health. The CMUA works alongside the switch’s main control (SRUA/MCUA) boards and line cards, rather than carrying user traffic itself, focusing purely on the monitoring, management port access (console and Ethernet) and power-saving control functions needed to keep a large modular switch chassis operating reliably. As the S9300 series has seen wide deployment in enterprise and carrier networks, tested secondary-market CMUA boards remain a useful field spare for restoring full chassis monitoring capability.
