Huawei RT-2E1 Quidway AR28 Series Router Module

The Huawei RT-2E1 is a 2-port E1/CE1 WAN interface card designed for Huawei legacy Quidway AR28-series modular enterprise routers, including the AR28-11. As an add-in expansion card, the RT-2E1 provides two E1/CE1 ports, letting an AR28 router connect to leased-line E1 circuits for WAN connectivity, structured/unstructured E1 data services, or channelized voice and data trunking in enterprise and branch office deployments. The Quidway AR28 series routers that the RT-2E1 was designed for could serve as either a core router for a small-to-medium enterprise network or an access router for a branch office connecting back to a larger corporate network, and supported a wide range of interface cards including FE, E1/T1/PRI, ISDN BRI, E3, and ATM options alongside the RT-2E1. As these older Quidway AR28 routers remain in service in some legacy enterprise networks, RT-2E1 cards are still sourced as tested spares to maintain existing WAN connectivity.
