The IBM 01KP573 is a Host Interface Card (HIC) designed for the IBM DE4000 storage system. This dual-protocol adapter provides four ports supporting both 16Gb Fibre Channel and 10Gb Ethernet connectivity, enabling flexible high-speed data paths between the storage array and host servers.

This HIC is a critical component for IBM DE4000 storage deployments, allowing the array to connect to SAN fabrics via Fibre Channel or directly to Ethernet networks. The 4-port configuration provides redundancy and increased aggregate bandwidth for demanding enterprise storage workloads.
