The IBM 41T9307 is a FICON Express8S dual-port channel adapter module designed for IBM Z Series mainframes. This feature code 0410 module provides high-speed fibre connectivity supporting FICON protocols at up to 8 Gbps per port, enabling efficient communication between the mainframe and storage area networks.

This adapter is intended for deployment in enterprise data centre environments where IBM Z Series mainframes require high-bandwidth, low-latency connections to SAN infrastructure. The 10km SX optics support extended-distance fibre links, making it suitable for campus or multi-building deployments where storage subsystems are located remotely from the mainframe.

The FICON Express8S represents an established generation of IBM mainframe channel technology.
