The IBM 45D9023 is a GX++ 12X channel dual-port DDR InfiniBand adapter, CCIN 2BC3 and feature code 1808, for POWER7 and pSeries systems. Like other GX adapters it plugs into the system bus rather than a PCI slot, which is what gives it the bandwidth to carry 12X InfiniBand, and it is used both for high speed clustering and for attaching I/O drawers.
