The Juniper EX-SFP-10GE-SR is a 10GBASE-SR SFP+ transceiver for Juniper EX Series switches and other SFP+-capable platforms, operating at 850nm over multimode fibre with a reach of up to 300m on OM3 and up to 400m on OM4/OM5 fibre via an LC duplex connector. It is compliant with SFF-8431/8432 and IEEE 802.3ae, and supports digital diagnostics monitoring per SFF-8472 so link health can be checked remotely. This is the standard short-reach 10 Gigabit Ethernet optic used to connect EX switches over existing multimode fibre runs within a building or data hall; for longer single-mode links a different LR-rated module would be needed instead.
