HAYES

Hayes Microcomputer Products was founded in 1977 in Georgia, USA, by Dennis Hayes and Dale Heatherington. Its Smartmodem of 1981 introduced the AT command set, which almost all modems still use. The company went into liquidation in 1999, and Zoom Telephonics bought the Hayes name in July 1999 and still uses it on selected products. Buyers look for Hayes dial-up and ISDN modems, mainly to support older equipment, remote sites and legacy systems that still rely on a serial or dial-up link. Because the model range was wide, the exact model number is needed to identify the right replacement. Tech-Star supplies new and refurbished Hayes hardware. Submit any Hayes part number through the enquiry form for current pricing, condition and availability.
