Mitel A1736-0000-10-55 Aastra 500i Series Phone Accessory

The Mitel A1736-0000-10-55 is the Aastra M670i expansion module, also sold under its earlier name 536M. It is a 36-key sidecar console that attaches to a compatible desk phone to add programmable line, speed-dial and feature keys, each with an LED status indicator for functions such as Line, Speed Dial, Busy Lamp Field, Bridged Line Appearance, Shared Call Appearance and Do Not Disturb.

The module works with the Aastra and Mitel 6700i series IP phones, specifically the 6735i, 6737i, 6739i, 6753i, 6755i and 6757i. Up to three modules can be daisy-chained to a single phone to build a high-capacity operator or reception console. It draws power and signalling directly from the host handset, so no separate power supply or wiring is required.

This makes it well suited to receptionists, executive assistants and busy professionals who manage many lines or transfer calls frequently. The M670i was part of the Aastra portfolio prior to the Mitel acquisition and remains in service across many existing deployments.
