Mitel MC264AA SX-200 / SX-2000 / 3300 ICP telephone system PBX Card / Module

The Mitel MC264AA is an SX-2000 CEPT formatter card. It is the board required to connect an SX-2000 Light system to CEPT digital links, the European 2 Mbit/s trunk standard, and it allocates 60 trunks to the system. Formatter cards handle the framing and signalling between the PBX’s internal switching and the external digital circuit, so a site with E1 trunks needs one for each link group it terminates. The AA suffix is the first issue of the card.

The Mitel SX-2000 is a digital PBX built as a control node plus one or more peripheral cabinets, with control, switching and interface cards distributed across them. Peripheral switch controllers manage a group of interface cards, formatters handle digital trunk framing, and line and trunk cards present the extensions and circuits. Mitel ended support long ago, so remaining SX-2000 sites are maintained entirely from held spares, matched by part number and issue letter.
