The Miteq U-9695-2 is a Ku-band satellite upconverter from the Miteq U-9600 series of synthesized frequency converters, translating a standard IF input up into the Ku-band transmit range for use in a satellite earth station RF chain. Like other members of the U-96xx family, it uses a phase-locked synthesized local oscillator to deliver stable, low-drift frequency translation, and is designed for rack mounting between the satellite modem or exciter and the Ku-band high power amplifier. These converters were a standard building block in commercial, government and broadcast Ku-band uplink chains, teleports and VSAT hub facilities, and refurbished units continue to be used as direct replacements or spares where the original RF chain is still in service.
