The NEC 891001 is the IP1WW-EXIFU-A1 expansion interface card for the NEC Aspire communications platform. It links the main cabinet (KSU) to an expansion cabinet, allowing the system to grow beyond the slot capacity of a single chassis.

The card is required when adding a second cabinet to extend an 8-slot system towards a 16-slot configuration. Once fitted, the expansion cabinet can host further trunk and station cards, increasing the number of lines and extensions the system supports.
