The NEC NWA-078614 is a TRP-8G-1E outdoor unit (ODU), an 8 GHz microwave radio transceiver for the NEC PASOLINK point-to-point radio system. Mounted at the antenna, it houses the transmitter and receiver in a single weatherproof unit and connects to an indoor unit (IDU) over an intermediate-frequency cable, providing the RF transmit and receive functions for the radio hop. PASOLINK is NEC’s ultracompact microwave platform, deployed by mobile operators and enterprises for high-capacity backhaul in the licensed 8 GHz band where fibre is not available.
