The Nokia C109474 is an ETS2 (Exchange Terminal STM-1) transmission interface card for the Nokia BSC base station controller in GSM/EDGE networks. It terminates two STM-1/OC-3 155 Mbit/s optical transmission links, providing the SDH interface between the base station controller and the transport network that carries traffic and signalling to and from the base station sites. The card sits in the transmission subrack of the DX 200-based BSC platform and handles line termination, framing and protection for the aggregated Abis and A-interface traffic. It is a legacy core-network component sourced through the secondary market for maintenance and spares in existing GSM deployments. Available from Tech Star as new or refurbished stock.
