Nortel 25UMU00738FFN: PDMX 34-140 Mbit/s muldex card for Nortel telecommunications transmission and networking systems.

The Nortel 25UMU00738FFN is a 34 to 140 Mbit/s multiplexer-demultiplexer (muldex) card, aggregating a group of 34 Mbit/s tributaries up to a 140 Mbit/s PDH line. It plugs into a Nortel PDMX shelf, the manufacturer’s programmable digital multiplexer platform for private-network PDH transmission, in which a common control unit manages the 2 Mbit/s trunk connection while dedicated tributary cards carry the individual voice and data circuits. Equipment of this generation continues to run in private networks that have not migrated off PDH transmission, and genuine spares such as this one are needed to repair a failed channel, keep a shelf at full working capacity, or support planned maintenance. Card revisions on this platform can vary between shelf software loads, so confirm exact compatibility against your installed system before ordering. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) supplies refurbished Nortel spares for engineers maintaining PDH transmission equipment of this type.
