The Nortel NT6144EA is a universal time switch card for the Nortel DMS-100 switching family. In the DMS-100 it is fitted in the ISDN-capable version of the Austrian digital trunk controller (ADTC) shelf, together with the NTBX01AA ISP card. Those two cards are what set an ISDN ADTC shelf (shelf PEC 6102NA, frame type LTEI) apart from the standard ADTC.

With the ISDN shelf in place, the ADTC can carry PRA-type digital trunks, datafilled on ports 1 to 31. As a time switch, the card moves traffic between timeslots inside the peripheral, so an ADTC set up for ISDN needs it present to run.

Nortel no longer makes DMS-100 hardware, so operators keeping ADTC peripherals in service rely on the secondary market for spares. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) supplies Nortel DMS parts for maintenance and spares holding. Contact our sales team for availability.
